A young girl named Jazmyne with oversized colorful emotions swirling around her, painted in a whimsical storybook style.

Exploring Big Emotions with Jazmyne

Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider who sat down beside her…

Eek! A Spider!

Jazmyne jumped back from the book, her eyes wide. “A spider? Why would a spider sit next to her? That’s scary!”

Mom smiled and gently patted Jazmyne’s hand. “It does seem a little strange, doesn't it? Spiders might seem scary at first, but they are actually quite fascinating. Did you know they spin those beautiful webs all by themselves? Imagine being able to build something so intricate and amazing!”

Jazmyne scrunched up her nose. “But they have so many legs! And their webs are sticky!”

Mom chuckled. “Eight legs are definitely better than two when you want to spin a web! And the stickiness? Well, that’s how they catch their dinner. It's like having a superpower!”

Jazmyne giggled. “A superpower? You mean like being invisible?”

“Sort of! Spiders use their webs to catch food, just like how some superheroes use their powers to help people. They might not be invisible, but they are super important to our world.

Jazmyne looked back at the spider in the book, its eight legs no longer seeming so scary. Maybe spiders were a little bit cool after all.
