Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider who sat down beside her and said, Hey! Whatcha eatin?
What?!
Little Miss Muffet was startled! She didn't like bugs...not one bit! She threw her bowl up in the air and ran away!
The very next day, Little Miss Muffet decided she would try a new snack. She didn't know what it was but it sure did look yummy! As she sat down at the table, Little Miss Muffet heard something say, That's my favorite! I'm Rosie the Rolly Polly and that's a dragonfruit! It's super delicious!
Ewwww, a bug! thought Little Miss Muffet. What do you think you are doing? You can't eat my food! Go away! yelled Little Miss Muffet.
Why would I go away? You are about to eat my favorite food! I'm a Rolly Polly and we LOVE to eat fruits and veggies just like you! proclaimed Rosie.
Ewwww, you eat my food? asked Little Miss Muffet?
Well, not YOUR food, silly! I eat the parts of the food that fall to the ground. Then I help the food to break down so that it can turn back into soil, explained Rosie the Rolly Polly.
You make soil? Little Miss Muffet was surprised. How do you do that?
It's kind of like magic! We eat the food, then our bodies digest the food and turn it into soil, said Rosie the Rolly Polly.
