Have you ever seen a big beautiful spider web glistening with morning dew? What about a bright green caterpillar munching away on a leaf? Bugs are cool and amazing?! Thanks for loving bugs too! 🐞
…who sat down beside her. Now, most people think spiders are scary, and Miss Muffet was no different. She'd always run away, shrieking! But this spider, with its eight beady eyes and furry legs, just sat there patiently.
Afraid? it asked in a voice as soft as a whisper.
Miss Muffet, surprised the spider could talk, stammered, W-well, everyone says you bite!
The spider chuckled. Only bad bugs bite without a reason. I spin webs to catch pesky flies that want to eat your curds and whey.
It pointed a leg towards a swarm of flies buzzing near the curds. Miss Muffet had never thought of it that way.
You mean, you're helping me? she asked.
We all have our part to play, the spider winked, its many eyes twinkling. Even creepy crawly spiders.
From that day on, Miss Muffet wasn't afraid of spiders. She knew that just like the spider helped her, other bugs helped the world in their own special ways. Maybe if she looked closely enough, she could discover all their secrets!
