Ingredients:
- 1 cup softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh dill or parsley (for that earthy, green look)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cucumber, sliced into rounds
- 1 carrot, peeled and cut into thin matchsticks
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin matchsticks
- 1 package of pretzel sticks
- Blueberries or black olives for garnish
Directions:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with dill (or parsley), chives, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Take a cucumber round and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on top. This will be the base of your Nymph Nibble.
- Insert a few carrot and red bell pepper matchsticks into the cream cheese layer, letting them stick out like the wings and antennae of a bug.
- Break a pretzel stick in half and gently press them into the sides of the cucumber round to create the illusion of more legs.
- Garnish each Nymph Nibble with a blueberry or black olive on top of the cream cheese mixture to resemble the bug’s head.
- Arrange your delightful Nymph Nibbles on a platter garnished with extra dill or parsley to enhance the forest floor look.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before serving to help the nibbles firm up and make them easier to handle.
These Delightful Nymph Nibbles are not only a feast for the eyes but are also packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients that bring a burst of joy with every bite. They are sure to spark conversations and bring smiles to anyone lucky enough to try them.
