Ingredients:
- ½ Seedless Watermelon (the star of our show!)
- 12 Large Blueberries (for the ladybug heads)
- 24 Small Blueberries (to dot those lovely wings)
- Love and Fun (just a sprinkle of each, of course! 🌟)
Feel free to swap ingredients based on what you have. Got strawberries instead of blueberries? Let’s get creative!
Instructions:
Prep your Station!
Grab your toolkit! Line a baking tray with parchment paper (think of it as a little runway for your ladybugs!).
Slice it Up!
Carefully cut the watermelon into 1-inch thick slices, like you’re making a delicious watermelon blanket for your ladybugs. Use a round 3-inch cookie cutter to make beautiful circles from the watermelon slices.
Wings Up!
Here comes the fun part—give each watermelon circle a little snip! Cut a thin triangle out of one side. Voilà, you’ve got wings!
Pat Dry Party!
Place your watermelon circles on paper towels for a quick pat-down. We're taking off the extra juice so our ladybugs can take flight without getting soggy!
Ladybug Assembly Line!
Place a large blueberry on the uncut end of each watermelon circle—it’s a friendly ladybug face! Then, decorate the wings with the small blueberries. Give those ladybugs some personality!
