#! 🍫🐜💃
Get ready to groove and move, young chefs! Today we’re making a delightful and delicious spin on a classic snack: ! Not only is this treat super yummy, but it also encourages your little ones to dance around the kitchen like ants at a fiesta. So grab your aprons, and let’s cha-cha into the world of creative cooking!
Ingredients
Makes 6 Anty Logs
- 3 stalks of celery (your crunchy logs!)
- ½ cup of creamy peanut butter (the glue that holds it all together!)
- ¼ cup of chocolate chips (for those sweet, chocolatey ants!)
- A sprinkle of love and fun (because that’s the secret ingredient!)
Ingredient Swaps: Got allergies or preferences? Swap peanut butter for any nut butter, sunflower seed butter, or even hummus for a savory twist. For chocolate chips, try dried fruits like raisins or chopped apricots.
Instructions
Wash your logs: Rinse those celery stalks like they just did a jazz hands routine! Cut each celery stalk in half for perfect “log” shapes.
Spread the peanut butter: Plop some peanut butter into the groove of each celery stick and spread it around like a fast-moving ant on a mission!
It's showtime for ants: Sprinkle your chocolate chips over the peanut butter, arranging them carefully as though they are ant dancers ready for a fancy tango!
Do the Anty Shuffle: Once your logs are dressed with ants, it’s time to show them off! Wiggle them around, make them dance, and strike your best ant poses!
Enjoy your creation: Take a bite and enjoy the catchy combination of crunchy and creamy. You just hosted the sweetest dance party on a log!
Fun Bug Fact
Did you know that some kinds of ants can carry 50 times their own weight? Just think, if a kid could do that, they'd be able to lift their entire school bus!
Safety Tip
Adult Supervision: Make sure to have an adult with you when cutting the celery to avoid any slips! Safety first, tiny chefs!
Final Touch
Get creative! You can make a whole bug family by using different fruits or snacks. How about carrot sticks as the extra logs and gummy worms as your ants' party guests?
✋ Challenge: Can you create a “Bug Family Picnic” with a variety of fruits and toppings? Snap a pic with your creations and tag @BugZooInc on Instagram to share your delightful bug-themed fun!
Complexity Level
Easy-Peasy! Perfect for ages 4 and up (with adult help for cutting!).
