Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider,
And sat down beside her,
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
Did the spider try to scare Miss Muffet? Maybe the spider just wanted to be friends. Did you know spiders are super important? Spiders eat other bugs that can cause us harm like mosquitos and flies. Spiders are nature’s pest control! Without spiders, there would be way more bugs that bite and sting. Yikes! Spiders are our friends and help to keep us safe.
Sometimes, we are scared of things that we don’t understand. For example, some people think spiders look strange, scary, and creepy. But spiders are actually really cool and amazing! Thanks for loving bugs too! 🐞

Eensy Weensy Spider
The eensy weensy spider
Climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain,
And washed the spider out.
Out came the sunshine,
And dried up all the rain,
And the eensy weensy spider
Climbed up the spout again.
Just like the Itsy Bitsy Spider, real spiders are super strong! They can climb walls, hang upside down, and even walk on water! Isn’t that amazing? Spiders use their webs to catch their food. They spin their webs from silk, which is a special material that is very strong and sticky.
Spiders are really good at what they do! They are patient and they never give up. The next time you see a spider web, take a closer look. You might even see the spider that made it! Do you want to know something really cool about spider webs? They are not just for catching food. Spiders also use their webs to protect themselves from predators, to build their homes, and even to take care of their babies.
